Governor of Nineveh, Abdel Qader Dakhil, announced on Thursday the commencement of a significant healthcare initiative with the laying of the foundation stone for a 100-bed hospital in the Telkif district. This project is designed to enhance integrated medical services and elevate the standard of healthcare for citizens throughout the judiciary.
In a statement, Dakhil highlighted the occasion as being sponsored by Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, alongside direct support from Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi. He emphasized that this initiative is part of the government’s overarching strategy to bolster the health sector in Nineveh, providing advanced medical services not only to local residents but also to those in surrounding areas.
Dakhil noted that the new hospital will serve as a critical addition to the governorate’s health infrastructure, aiming to alleviate the burden on existing medical facilities and improve healthcare delivery to the populace.
The Governor expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Al-Sudani for his unwavering support of reconstruction efforts within the governorate, pointing out that Nineveh is currently experiencing the rollout of numerous projects that are beginning to yield positive outcomes for community services.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani officially launched the executive phase of five hospital projects across various governorates, which includes the newly announced 100-bed facility in Telkif.
