Fuel Distribution Performance in Iraq: January Overview

The Oil Products Distribution Company, part of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, has reported its fuel productivity metrics for January, highlighting the efforts of its transportation authority, which operates a fleet of 1,192 trucks and tankers across various governorates.

Production Metrics

In a statement from the company’s general manager, Hussein Talib Abboud, it was disclosed that the total productive output reached 97.5 million square meters/km. This productivity encompasses the transportation of petroleum products through distribution routes that reach all outlets in Baghdad and other provinces.

Types of Oil Products Transported

Abboud elaborated on the diverse range of products delivered, which includes white derivatives such as gasoline, kerosene, and gas oil, alongside black derivatives like diesel, crude oil, mixtures, and propane. Additionally, the transportation of aircraft fuel (RT), various oils, and hydraulic fluids was highlighted, together with bottom and loose gas.

Daily Transfer Rates

Milad Rashid, the director of the transportation authority, indicated that the average daily transfer rate for various oil derivatives, including gas, stood at 382 shifts. On average, approximately 982,692 cubic meters of products were transferred daily to distribution branches throughout the region.

Organized Delivery Mechanism

Rashid emphasized the commitment of the Transportation Authority to implement an organized system for delivering oil products to all governorates. This approach aims to facilitate a smooth and efficient flow of derivatives, ensuring prompt access for consumers.
