Economy Update – Baghdad
The Ministry of Environment has reported a notable improvement in air quality in Baghdad, with the city being ranked 44th globally on the IQAir index. This development marks a clear enhancement compared to both previous months and the fall season.
As per the Ministry’s findings, the air quality in Baghdad is predominantly within acceptable parameters, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) fluctuating between 50 and 100, indicating a yellow alert status. Currently, the air quality index stands at 84, placing Baghdad 44th out of 112 cities monitored by the IQAir application for air quality measurement.
The capital has experienced intermittent spikes in pollution levels, although these instances have become increasingly rare when compared to the conditions experienced during the fall season.
