Economic Overview – Baghdad
On Thursday, the Ministerial Energy Council convened in Baghdad and approved several key measures and recommendations aimed at addressing pressing issues within the energy sector.
The Ministry of Oil announced that the meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayyan Abdel-Ghani, with participation from the Minister of Electricity, the Minister of Water Resources, the Minister of Finance, and other members of the Council.
The agenda covered a range of topics pertinent to the energy, oil, and electricity sectors. The council deliberated on these subjects and subsequently adopted suitable measures to tackle the identified issues. Furthermore, several important procedures and recommendations have been forwarded to the relevant authorities within the Council of Ministers for further action.
