The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, announced on Thursday that three governorates have communicated their readiness to undertake the initial phase of the development road project. He emphasized that the project will be implemented in segments, departing from conventional geographical sequencing.
Al-Saadawi stated that the governorates involved in the development project are actively preparing to commence implementation, noting that Muthanna, Holy Karbala, and Salah al-Din are leading in readiness to initiate the first section. This advancement is attributed to the absence of procedural hurdles or conflicts that could impede progress.
The Minister commended the significant cooperation from the participating governorates, asserting that such support will facilitate a more expedited completion of the work. He highlighted that this project represents a pivotal economic opportunity that will generate substantial employment for residents by enhancing goods transportation and infrastructure.
Furthermore, Al-Saadawi indicated that the project’s implementation will adopt a novel approach, with division into segments allowing competent companies to commence work on any section that is ready, following the fulfillment of necessary requirements. This method, unconfined by geographical constraints, is designed to expedite the completion process and ensure the project is executed under a flexible and pragmatic plan.
