Meta Reports 59% Profit Surge to $62.36 Billion in 2024

Meta Platforms, Inc. Financial Overview for 2024

Meta has disclosed its financial performance for 2024, reporting revenues that reached $164.5 billion. This figure represents a 22% increase compared to the previous year.

Notably, the company recorded a summarized profit of $62.36 billion, marking a substantial 59% rise year-over-year. The primary driver of this revenue growth was an increase in advertising prices, with Meta’s advertising revenues rising by 10%.

In a strategic initiative, Meta is aligning itself more closely with the new Trump administration, having recently disbanded its Fact-Checking program. This move is intended to foster a climate that encourages diverse opinions and greater discourse.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg has stated that these changes aim to enhance the company’s relationship with government entities.

As of December 2024, the user base across Meta’s social media platforms has surged, now totaling 3.35 billion users.

Looking ahead, Meta has announced plans to invest between $60 billion and $65 billion in 2025, with a significant focus on advancements in artificial intelligence.
