On Monday, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, a deputy representing the Karbala Governorate, urged the Ministry of Finance to enhance the financial allocation for the province in the upcoming 2025 budget.

Al-Hilali stated that the financial allocation for Karbala Governorate in the 2024 budget was set at 48 billion dinars, which she considers insufficient for the province’s needs.

She emphasized that Karbala requires numerous service projects, particularly as it attracts millions of visitors from various regions and countries each year, especially during the fortieth visit.

Al-Hilali further indicated that the Ministry of Finance needs to increase the financial allocation for Karbala in the 2025 budget to over 150 billion dinars to effectively complete essential service projects and infrastructure development in the province.
