Current US Dollar Exchange Rate Against the Iraqi Dinar
The exchange rate of the US dollar has experienced an upward trend, with 100 US dollars being sold for less than 149,000 Iraqi dinars. Haji Sabir Bawaji, a member of the Erbil Currency Council, noted that the current rate stands at 148,750 dinars for 100 US dollars.
According to Haji Sabir, “The security situation is relatively stable, and the demand for the dollar is low. These factors have contributed to the increase in the exchange rate.”
Regional Currency Comparisons
In comparison, the Iranian rial is trading at approximately 9.2 million rials to the US dollar. Meanwhile, the Syrian pound has been assessed at a rate of 1 million Syrian liras for 174,000 dinars, while the dollar is valued at 100 dollars per 3,605 Turkish liras.
