The US Energy Information Administration has reported a substantial increase in Iraq’s oil exports to the United States over the past week, following two weeks of decline.
According to data released, the average daily crude oil imports to the United States from eight major exporting countries amounted to 5.275 million barrels, reflecting a decrease of 231,000 barrels per day compared to the prior week’s total of 5.506 million barrels.
The report highlighted that Iraq’s oil exports to the American market rose significantly to 257,000 barrels per day, an increase of 211,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s figure of just 46,000 barrels.
The administration further noted that the bulk of America’s oil revenue during the past week derived from Canada, which supplied 3.653 million barrels per day. Mexico followed with 553,000 barrels, Saudi Arabia contributed 277,000 barrels, and Venezuela supplied 198,000 barrels.
Additionally, the report indicated that the daily crude oil imports from Brazil reached 155,000 barrels, while Nigeria contributed 139,000 barrels, and Ecuador provided 43,000 barrels per day.
