Transport Minister Sets Date for Key Development Road Project

Economy News – Baghdad

On Wednesday, Transport Minister Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi announced the establishment of committees aimed at addressing issues and discrepancies related to the implementation of the development road project. The timeline for unveiling the first section of the project was also confirmed.

In a statement, Al-Saadawi noted that under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, a collaborative meeting took place involving the Ministry of Transport and the Supreme Coordination Authority for the governorates. This meeting included the governors of the regions along the project’s pathway, as well as representatives from project consulting firms.

The discussion focused on monitoring and resolving conflicts. Central and sub-committees, headed by the governors, were formed to swiftly address any issues impeding the project’s progress. Notably, several governorates, such as Samawah, Karbala, and Salah al-Din, reported no conflicts regarding the project’s site. Al-Saadawi mentioned that the announcement of the first section of the development road is anticipated in August of this year, with plans for implementation to follow promptly.
