Kurdistan Regional Government Begins Salary Distribution for March 2025
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has officially initiated the distribution of salaries for employees in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, effective today. According to the director of a bank located in Sulaimani, the funds have been received, and distribution is currently underway. However, it has been noted that employees from three specific ministries will not be included in today’s disbursement schedule.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Region announced that salaries for civilian pensioners, individuals with disabilities, political prisoners, and victims of chemical attacks will be distributed on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
“Employees whose salaries are registered in my account for the Ministries of Health, Higher Education, and Education can begin to receive their payments upon receiving notification letters,” stated an official from the My Account team.
According to the salary distribution plan released yesterday, employees from the Ministries of Health and Education are scheduled to receive their salaries on March 17, while those from the Ministry of Higher Education will receive theirs on March 18.
Recent reports circulating on social media suggested that there were delays in salary distribution in Sulaimani due to congestion. However, Shokhan Omar, director of Malkandi Bank in Sulaimani, dismissed these claims, stating, “This is far from the truth. I visited all the salary distribution offices today without any issues.”
Omar confirmed, “The funds arrived in Sulaimani from Erbil last night, and we have received them. Distribution started today, and all necessary funds are available, allowing for a smooth process.”
The KRG’s Ministry of Finance and Economy released a statement on March 12 indicating that the distribution of February salaries in the Kurdistan Region will conclude shortly.
The salary distribution for January began on February 5 and concluded on February 10 of this year.
