Iraqi Oil Exports to US Drop Despite 200K Barrels Resale

The US Energy Information Administration has reported that Iraq exported over 200,000 barrels of oil to the United States in the past week.

According to data released by the agency, average U.S. imports of crude oil from nine key countries rose to 5.535 million barrels per day, an increase of 260,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, which recorded imports at 5.275 million barrels per day.

Iraq’s oil exports to the U.S. amounted to 228,000 barrels per day, reflecting a decline of 29,000 barrels per day from the prior week, which reported exports of 257,000 barrels per day.

The report highlighted that the majority of U.S. oil revenue was derived from Canada, totaling 3.818 million barrels per day. Mexico followed with 445,000 barrels per day, then Venezuela with an average of 276,000 barrels per day, and Saudi Arabia contributing 252,000 barrels per day.
