Iraq’s Oil Exports to US Drop Despite Surpassing 200K Barrels

The US Energy Information Administration has reported that Iraq exported over 200,000 barrels of oil to the United States in the past week.

According to data released by the administration, the average amount of crude oil imported into the United States from nine key countries increased to 5.535 million barrels per day, up by 260,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, which recorded 5.275 million barrels per day.

The report further noted that Iraq’s oil exports to the US totaled 228,000 barrels per day, a decrease of 29,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s figure of 257,000 barrels per day.

Additional insights indicated that the highest volume of oil revenue for the United States in the past week originated from Canada, contributing 3.818 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico at 445,000 barrels per day, Venezuela at 276,000 barrels per day, and Saudi Arabia at 252,000 barrels per day.

Further breakdown shows that the US imported 191,000 barrels per day from Ecuador, 171,000 barrels per day from Brazil, 150,000 barrels per day from Colombia, and 77,000 barrels per day from Nigeria.
