Gold Prices in Iraq Show Rising Trend
Gold prices experienced an upward trend in both Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Tuesday.
In the wholesale markets located in Baghdad’s River Evangelization area, the current selling price for a single weight of 21-carat gold, encompassing Gulf, Turkish, and European varieties, stands at 622,000 dinars. Buyers can acquire this gold at a purchase price of 618,000 dinars.
The prices for Iraqi gold have also increased, with the selling price for a single weight of 21-carat Iraqi gold recorded at 592,000 dinars and the purchase price at 588,000 dinars.
In retail settings, such as goldsmith shops, the selling price for Gulf 21-carat gold fluctuates between 620,000 and 630,000 dinars, whereas the selling prices for Iraqi gold range from 290,000 to 600,000 dinars.
Turning to Erbil, gold prices remained stable. The selling price for 24-carat gold is at 715,000 dinars, while 21-carat gold sells for 625,000 dinars, and 18-carat gold prices are at 535,000 dinars.
Overall, the gold market in Iraq reflects a dynamic landscape, influenced by both local and international factors affecting pricing trends.
