Federal Integrity Authority Recovers 20 Billion Dinars for Iraqi Airlines

The Federal Integrity Authority announced the recovery of 20 billion dinars for the General Airlines Company.

According to the Authority’s statement, “The dedicated team responsible for monitoring the financial files and debts of the Iraqi Airlines Company successfully retrieved a total of 19,153,347,520 dinars from a private company.”

The statement continued, “The company submitted an official correspondence to the Authority, confirming its commitment to settle the amount owed to Iraqi Airways,” detailing that the payment occurred in two installments—the first portion amounting to 16,077,320,000 dinars, followed by a second payment of 3,076,027,520 dinars.

It is important to note that the Federal Integrity Commission revealed earlier this month the sums that were identified and safeguarded against misappropriation, which were successfully returned to the state treasury last year. This recovery was reported to total approximately 950 billion Iraqi dinars and 9 billion US dollars for the year 2024.
