Council Exempts Micro-Loan Beneficiaries in Debt Relief Move

Government Initiatives on Micro-Loan Installments and Support for Disabled Individuals

The Council of Ministers has announced the exemption of repayment obligations for micro-loan beneficiaries who have deceased in previous years.

During its regular meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Council of Ministers reviewed two key proposals from the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kowestan Mohammed.

One of the proposals specifically addresses the exemption of marriage advance repayments for individuals with disabilities, highlighting the government’s commitment to support vulnerable populations.

The Council of Ministers unanimously endorsed both proposals from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Consequently, the Ministries of Finance, Economy, and Labor and Social Affairs have been directed to issue necessary guidelines to ensure the effective implementation of this decision.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed the disbursement of salaries for February, with payments set to commence on Thursday, March 13, 2025. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of preparing the salary list for March promptly to ensure timely remuneration.
