Market Update: Basra Crude Prices Decline Amid Subtle Gains in Global Oil Rates

On Thursday, the prices of Basra heavy and medium crude oil experienced a notable decline, falling by more than 3%. Specifically, Basra Heavy crude saw a reduction of $2.89, representing a decrease of 3.88%, bringing the total price to $71.56 per barrel. Similarly, medium crude prices also dropped by $2.89, which is a 3.73% decline, resulting in a price of $74.61 per barrel.

In contrast, global oil benchmarks exhibited modest increases. Brent crude rose by 24 cents, or 0.33%, reaching $72.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) saw a gain of 16 cents, equating to a 0.23% increase, bringing its price to $68.78 per barrel.
