The Independent High Electoral Commission has announced the commencement of financial reward distribution to polling personnel who participated in the provincial council elections held in 2023.
In a formal statement, the Commission expressed gratitude to all polling staff for their dedication and patience during the electoral process. The Commission acknowledged that these individuals have been vital to the success of the elections and to the integrity of the democratic process.
The statement further elaborated that the distribution of rewards has begun following the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Finance. Payments will be processed through the treasury in Baghdad and across various governorates, utilizing funds that were deposited to the Ministry of Finance account in August 2024.
Additionally, the Commission clarified that the Ministry’s requirement for the distribution of these rewards includes utilizing the IBAN and iron card system for reimbursement. Following necessary communications, the approval for cash payments has been secured. The Commission reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the rights of polling personnel and extends its appreciation for their significant contributions to the democratic process.
