On Tuesday, the General Company for Iraq Ports reported the arrival of 13 oil tankers at the Khor Al-Zubair Specialized Port, each carrying diverse shipments. The General Manager of the company, Farhan Al-Fartousi, noted that the tankers were distributed across various docking areas within the port, handling essential products including fuel oil, gasoline, and naphtha.

Among the tankers, the carrier “Sumer” was stationed at Pier No. 41, and another named “Versha” was at Pier No. 42, both loaded with fuel oil. Additionally, the carrier “Meltemi” was occupied with gasoline at Pier No. 2, while the “Front Vego” was docked at Pier No. 9 with naphtha. Al-Fartousi highlighted the variety of shipments, with most tankers transporting fuel oil and gas oil. This reflects the significant diversification of cargo at the port.

The smooth operations at the port demonstrate effective collaboration between maritime navigation and the port administration, facilitating efficient processes for establishing, departing, and unloading vessels.

Last month, the company disclosed its revenue achievements for 2024, confirming earnings in excess of one trillion Iraqi dinars. During the year, the total number of containers handled reached approximately 1.8 million, alongside an impressive count of over 3,000 anchored vessels.
