Economic Update – Baghdad
The Ministry of Finance has announced the termination of Ribaz Mohamed Abdullah from his position as Undersecretary due to absenteeism. This decision was made public on Wednesday and is based on an internal document issued by the ministry.
The document indicates that Mr. Abdullah did not resume his duties following his authorized leave, which was approved as per the Diwaniya order from the Prime Minister, numbered 287, dated December 21, 2021. As a result, he has effectively resigned from his role as of May 3, 2025, in accordance with Paragraph (5) of Article (10) of Law No. (1) of 1999, under the Civil Service Law No. 24 of 1960.
