In a significant development within regional trade, the Turkish Grain Association has reported a robust growth of 130% in exports to Iraq over the past 15 years. This achievement underscores the strengthening economic ties between Turkey and Iraq.

The association has committed to enhancing this growth trajectory by implementing an intensive program throughout 2024 aimed at further deepening cooperation and increasing the volume of trade between the two nations.

In 2009, Turkey exported agricultural goods to Iraq valued at $521 million. This figure has surged to approximately $1.15 billion, reflecting a strategic focus on expanding trade relations.

Looking ahead, the Turkish Grain Association has set an ambitious target of reaching $2 billion in exports to Iraq by the year 2030, aiming to capitalize on the established momentum.
