Turkish Minister of Energy Visits Iraq to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alp Arslan arrived in Baghdad today, as confirmed by a statement from the Iraqi Oil Ministry.

During his visit, Arslan was received by Hayyan Abdel-Ghani Al-Sawad, the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil. The officials engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between Turkey and Iraq, focusing particularly on sectors related to oil, gas, and energy.

The meeting involved key representatives, including the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, the General Manager of the Oil Marketing Company, and officials from both the North Oil Company and the Economic and Legal Departments.

This visit underscores the ongoing collaboration between Iraq and Turkey, with potential implications for regional energy security and economic development.
