Economic Update – Baghdad
As of today, Thursday, the Supreme Judicial Council has issued a directive concerning the process of managing public asset removals.
The council’s statement highlighted that the presidency of the Baghdad Appeals Court, Rusafa, convened a meeting with court administration directors, department heads, and administrative staff, under the chairmanship of Judge Imad Khudair, President of the Rusafa Court of Appeal.
This meeting was focused on enhancing operational effectiveness, identifying and addressing existing challenges, and prompting relevant authorities to facilitate necessary resolutions.
Furthermore, there were discussions regarding the issues related to speculation in the removal process.
During the assembly, the head of the appeals court directed that the courts should initiate the collection of a deposit equivalent to 10% of the property’s value, which will remain non-refundable until the bidding process concludes and the acquisition reaches a final decree.
