Saudi Arabia Unveils First Aircraft Manufacturing City in Jeddah

Industry Update – Saudi Arabia’s Aviation Sector

On Monday, Saudi Arabia inaugurated its first industrial city specifically designed for the manufacture and maintenance of aircraft in Jeddah. This strategic initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its aviation industry and fostering economic growth.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced this milestone during the Aviation Industry Forum, highlighting ongoing discussions aimed at bolstering the infrastructure of the aviation sector in Saudi Arabia. The forum serves as a platform to promote research and development, thereby creating an enticing business environment for both domestic and international investors.

At this event, the first commercial license was granted to the Middle East Company for Aircraft Air Motors Ltd. Additionally, the Saudi Airlines Company for Engineering and the Aviation Industry received the second license, marking significant progress in the sector.

The inaugural edition of the Saudi Aviation Industry Forum and its accompanying exhibition commenced on Monday in Jeddah and will continue through Tuesday. This forum brings together a diverse group of local and international experts, serving as a critical platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among businesses and manufacturers within this pivotal sector.
