Ali Makhr, a member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, has disclosed the rationale behind the dismissal of Hamid Al-Zobaie, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil responsible for liquidation affairs. During a recent statement, Makhr attributed the removal to a series of mounting issues within the liquidation agency, notably including complications associated with the Karbala refinery and various oil firms collaborating with the extraction agency.

It has also been reported that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has mandated Adnan Hammoud, the director of the North Refineries Company, to assume the responsibilities of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, succeeding Hamid Al-Zobaie in this capacity.
