On Friday, Prime Minister Mohamed Shi’a El-Sudani engaged in discussions with a Spanish firm specializing in information technology regarding the provision of border monitoring devices and facilitated a meeting between the company and the Iraqi Military Manufacturing Authority.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office, El-Sudani met with the president of Indra, Angel Eskribano, and his delegation at his residence in Munich. Indra is recognized for its expertise in information technology, simulation, automated testing equipment, and electronic defense systems.
The statement noted that the company presented its operations and contracts in Iraq, highlighting ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Interior concerning the supply of controls and systems for border security management.
During the meeting, El-Sudani emphasized the significance of enhancing cooperation with Indra and instructed his team to arrange a meeting with the head of the Military Industrialization Authority. The aim is to initiate joint projects that focus on technology transfer and the development of Iraqi capabilities in the military manufacturing sector.
