Economy Update – Baghdad
On Monday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani made a visit to the National Retirement Authority, where he issued four significant directives.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the directives issued by Prime Minister Al-Sudani include:
– The commencement of the fifth pension payment for former Iraqi army personnel prior to Eid Al-Fitr, with the sixth payment scheduled for immediate execution thereafter, in order to permanently close this matter.
– The settlement of financial compensations for wounded security forces.
– The establishment of a committee tasked with identifying remaining 1991 war prisoners to facilitate their retirement processing.
– The deployment of a committee from the retirement body and the Martyrs Institution to Anbar to address the retirement issues for victims of terrorism in the governorate, following an audit and disbursement of financial differences for victims similar to those in other governorates.
