Parliamentary Delegation Joins Sulaymaniyah Sit-in to Support Kurdistan Employees’ Salary Demands

Today, Friday, several members of the House of Representatives traveled to Sulaymaniyah Governorate to express solidarity with employees staging a sit-in, seeking solutions to the delays in their salaries.

A spokesperson indicated, “Representatives from the Federal Parliament joined the employees’ sit-in in the Kurdistan region to stand in solidarity with the demonstrators and convey a message of national unity among the Iraqi populace.” He further noted that the participating lawmakers included Representative Hussein Moanes, MP Yousef Al-Kalabi, MP Alaa Al-Musawi, MP Ali Al-Saadi, and MP Zikra Al-Rudaini, along with MP Sarwa Abdul Wahid. “The sit-ins are expected to feature additional demonstrations supporting the protesters in their demands for timely salary payments, exclusive resettlement through federal banks, and the re-implementation of the promotion law,” he added.
