Baghdad: Call for Quality Over Quantity in Project Selection for 2025

The Parliamentary Services Committee has emphasized the importance of prioritizing quality over quantity when selecting projects for 2025. This shift stems from the current fiscal constraints that limit allocation budgets. Ali Al-Hamidawi, chair of the committee, articulated the necessity for diligent project selection, underscoring the need for reliable companies that demonstrate efficiency and precision in execution.

“The capital requires a comprehensive array of strategic initiatives to enhance its core services, particularly in water supply and sanitation,” Al-Hamidawi noted in a recent interview. He pointed out that numerous regions continue to experience significant shortages in water access and sewerage infrastructure. He acknowledged the pressing need for quantitative measures, especially given the reduced budgetary allocations and the challenges in increasing funding levels.

Moving forward, the committee intends to engage with reputable firms capable of delivering swift and accurate results, aiming to maximize the effectiveness of available resources amidst ongoing budgetary limitations.
