Northern Oil Company Boosts National Production with New Barrels
The Northern Oil Company has increased national oil production by 4,000 barrels per day, specifically from the Jebar and Bay Hassan fields located in Kirkuk. Aqeel Wehbe, the director of the Kirkuk Oil Fields at the company, emphasized that this enhancement will significantly bolster the national economy and cater to local demands for oil derivatives and gas investments. This increase is achieved through ongoing development efforts at well 76 in the Jumbour field and well 200 in the Bay Hassan field.
Production Expectations
Wehbe noted that the drilling and development activities at well 76 in the Jumbour field are projected to yield an additional 2,000 barrels per day. He assured stakeholders that work will continue despite challenging environmental conditions, as the objective remains focused on enhancing production capacity.
Technical Operations
Omar Ayoub from the Iraqi Drilling Company provided insight into the operations at well 200 in the Bay Hassan field. He reported that the drilling activities are being executed using a sophisticated Italian drilling rig, with an expected production increase of up to 2,000 barrels per day.
This strategic move by the Northern Oil Company not only aims to strengthen the domestic oil supply but also underlines the importance of investing in infrastructure and development within the Iraqi oil sector.
