Economic Developments – Baghdad
The National Data Center and the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Real Estate Bank, have introduced a new electronic service that enables citizens to apply for real estate loans via the Or portal.
Residents of Baghdad and all other governorates are now able to electronically apply for loans of up to 100 million Iraqi dinars for the purchase of residential units. Applicants need to input their required information, upload official documentation, and submit their requests electronically for review by the relevant authorities. Throughout the application process, applicants will receive text notifications regarding the status of their requests until all procedures are finalized within the Real Estate Bank.
The loan application portal will be opened periodically according to a predetermined schedule, ensuring the service is accessible to the broadest range of eligible citizens across all governorates.
