On Monday, the Ministry of Finance issued a clarification in response to comments erroneously attributed to Finance Minister Taif Sami concerning the salary scale law for public employees.
In an official statement, the Ministry categorically denied claims that Minister Sami had suggested the failure to approve the salary scale law was due to inflated salaries for military and police personnel, nor did he advocate for any salary reductions.
The Ministry affirmed that these assertions, along with other misleading narratives, are without merit. They cautioned that circling fabricated rumors or misleading statements that distort the government’s financial and accounting policies could lead to legal repercussions.
Additionally, the Ministry urged all stakeholders and individuals to refrain from disseminating unverified information. They reiterated their commitment to maintaining transparency and credibility in all official communications and pledged to pursue all necessary legal actions against those perpetuating falsehoods.
