Economic Update: Infrastructure Development in Kuwait
The General Organization for Kuwaiti Housing Care has recently announced the successful signing of infrastructure contracts for the South Saad Al-Abdullah city project, totaling a substantial value of 261.7 million dinars (approximately 847.47 million dollars). This milestone was achieved in the presence of the Chinese ambassador to Kuwait.
According to Rashid Al-Enezi, Director General of the organization, three separate contracts were finalized with both local and international firms to manage road construction and infrastructure work on the project’s periphery. Each contract has an implementation period of 1,095 days, although the specific names of the contracting companies were not disclosed.
Furthermore, the Kuwaiti Company for Building Laboratories and Contracting announced its agreement with the General Housing Care Corporation to undertake infrastructure development and maintenance for several residential neighborhoods within the South Saad Al-Abdullah city project, valued at 89.6 million dinars.
