Kurdistan Region’s Federal Finance Ministry Transfers Salary Funds
The Ministry of Finance in the Kurdistan Region announced today that the Federal Ministry of Finance has transferred a total of 1 trillion and 26 million dinars to cover the salaries for February.
In an official statement, the ministry confirmed that "February’s salary funds have been credited to the bank account of the Ministry of Finance."
Further, the ministry extended its gratitude to the technical team of the Iraqi federal government, acknowledging their cooperation during a series of intense meetings over the past two weeks, which facilitated the transfer of salary funds designated for employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
The statement continued to elaborate that in compliance with established procedures and guidelines, a revised public budget report is prepared after the 10th of each month. This upcoming report for February will help determine the share allocated to the federal treasury.
The statement also noted that the Kurdistan Regional Government is scheduled to commence the disbursement of salaries for February starting tomorrow, Thursday.
In addition, the region’s financial administration indicated that it is enhancing its efforts and maintaining communication with all ministries, departments, and authorities to compile the salary lists for March, which will be submitted next week.
