Kurdistan Regional Government Prepares to Submit Salary List to Baghdad
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is set to send a salary list to Baghdad on Wednesday, according to informed sources within the KRG.
“The issues regarding Baghdad’s feedback on the salary list have been resolved, and we anticipate transmitting the list on Wednesday,” noted a source from the KRG’s Council of Ministers on Monday.
Another KRG official mentioned, “We expect the Iraqi government to render a decision on the payment of February salaries on Thursday, following the submission of this list.”
Recent Communications from Iraq’s Finance Ministry
On November 3, Iraqi Finance Minister Taif Sami communicated with the KRG representation via a letter specifying three key requests related to the Kurdistan Region:
- Issuance of funding for the payment of December 2025 salaries for KRG employees.
- Completion of data submission regarding the implementation of the “Tutin” for KRG employees, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Federal Supreme Court’s decision.
- Transfer of December 2025 non-oil revenue to the account opened with the Central Bank of Iraq, account number (70018).
Status of Salary Distribution
The distribution of January salaries commenced on November 5 and concluded on the 10th. However, salaries for the 12th month of the previous year remain pending distribution.
