The Sumo Oil Marketing Company has disclosed that Iraq exported over 4 million tons of oil derivatives in the fourth quarter of 2024.
According to the company’s schedule, Iraq shipped a total of 4 million and 465 thousand and 749 tons of oil derivatives between October and December 2024.
The company’s report indicates that fuel oil exports reached 4 million and 216 thousand and 145 tons during this period, a significant increase from 2 million and 796 thousand and 606 tons exported in the same quarter of 2023.
Additionally, data shows that Iraq exported 194,637 tons of other oil products and 54 thousand and 967 tons of aircraft fuel.
Puffation, an intermediate material, plays a significant role in the petrochemical industry, contributing to ethylene and aromatic production, as well as the refining process to produce gasoline.
