Increased Activity at Khor Al-Zubair Specialized Port
The General Company for Iraq Ports has announced a notable development at the Khor Al-Zubair Specialized Port, where 11 oil tankers have recently docked. This increase in maritime activity highlights the ongoing growth in handling oil as well as commercial vessels, which plays a vital role in bolstering the country’s economic resources.
Farhan Al-Fartousi, the General Manager of the company, emphasized the strategic priority of enhancing revenue generation through port operations. He stated that the continual servicing of oil tankers and commercial ships directly contributes to strengthening the financial foundation of the state.
The latest arrivals at the Khor Al-Zubair Specialized Port include 11 oil tankers, with varying cargo contents. While some tankers are loaded with essential materials such as fuel oil, solvents, crude oil, and Vlakot, others transport gasoline and are set to depart to their next destination from Berth No. 2.
