Historical Context
It is important to note that Iraqis have historically been among the top foreign buyers of real estate in Turkey, holding the leading position since 2015. However, they fell to second place behind Iranians at the beginning of 2021, and subsequently to third place in April 2022, largely due to the growing demand from Russian buyers for Turkish properties.
This data highlights a dynamic shift in the landscape of foreign real estate investment in Turkey, reflecting broader economic trends and buyer preferences in the current market.
