The Iraqi Trade Bank has officially announced the suspension of cash withdrawals via ATM machines outside of Iraq, effective Wednesday.
This decision comes in response to concerns regarding the misuse of electronic cards, specifically Visa and MasterCard. To mitigate potential risks associated with these transactions, cash withdrawals through ATMs using these cards will no longer be permitted outside of Iraq. However, the bank clarified that customers can still utilize these cards for purchases through Point of Sale (POS) systems and online transactions.
