Iraqi PM Al-Sudani Unveils New Measures to Boost Digital Transformation for Companies

Prime Minister Mohamed Shaya Al-Sudani announced on Friday that the government has implemented a range of initiatives aimed at facilitating the operations of companies engaged in digital transformation.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, Prime Minister Al-Sudani met with Mark Severt, the executive director of the German firm Veridos, on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference. The two discussed advancing cooperation with Veridos, a global leader in passport and national card printing, particularly through its factory located in Baghdad, which signifies a vital aspect of the economic ties between Iraq and Germany. During the meeting, Al-Sudani expressed support for the company’s initiatives and highlighted the importance of its programs aimed at enhancing digital transformation in public services for citizens. He noted that the government has adopted several measures to streamline the efforts of companies in this sector, paving the way for significant advancements.
