Iraqi-Italian Collaboration Boosts Oil Production at Jumbour Field
A representative from the Northern Oil Company announced on Thursday that a collaborative effort between Iraqi and Italian oil teams has successfully increased production at the Jumbour oil field to 20,000 barrels per day, leveraging the potential of associated resources in the area.
According to the source, the upcoming operational phase with the Italian team from Manderisi, focusing on the wet oil station in the northern Jumbour field, is set to commence in the coming weeks. This initiative is expected to further enhance production by an additional 15,000 to 20,000 barrels per day.
The source noted that this increase in production is a testament to the significant contributions of engineering and technical innovations from the North Oil sector, playing a crucial role in bolstering national production capacity. This enhancement aligns with long-term strategies for sustainable development of oil fields within the region.
Furthermore, the expansion of production capabilities at the Jumbour field, from 10,000 to 20,000 barrels per day, signifies a critical uptick in output. This increase not only uplifts oil production but also enhances the availability of associated gas, thus providing additional support to the electrical energy network by supplying new quantities of gas necessary for operating power stations.
