Iraqi-British Business Council Symposium in London
The Iraqi-British Business Council (IBBC) convened for a symposium in London, aimed at strengthening ties between the Iraqi and British private sectors.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein led the Iraqi delegation, which included the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil Hayyan Abdul Ghani, the Chairman of the Advisors Authority, a Technical Adviser to the Prime Minister, the Iraqi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and several prominent Iraqi and British business figures.
During the opening address, Deputy Prime Minister Fouad Hussein emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the private sector’s role within the commercial sphere. He outlined strategies for developing collaboration with British counterparts, highlighting the Iraqi government’s objective to foster partnerships with reputable international firms.
The symposium also featured bilateral discussions aimed at bolstering cooperation and partnerships across various sectors. Key opportunities for British companies to enter the Iraqi market were presented, showcasing the potential for mutually beneficial engagements.
