Economy Update – Baghdad
On Sunday, Minister of Agriculture Abbas Jabr al-Maliki announced that Iraq is projected to export over 700,000 tons of dates in 2024 to various international markets.
In a statement, the ministry reaffirmed the commitment to agricultural development, indicating that the Minister assured a delegation of German agricultural companies regarding the status of these exports. The planned output is intended to meet global demands while supporting local manufacturing and nutritional needs, aligning with the national priorities outlined in the country’s strategic vision.
