Iraq Stock Exchange Sees 3 Billion Shares Traded in March

The Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) has released its trading indicators for the week, revealing that over 3 billion shares were exchanged, totaling an impressive value of more than 7 billion dinars.

According to the report, the ISX conducted five trading sessions during the first week of March 2025, from Sunday, March 2, through Thursday, March 6. During this period, the number of shares traded reached more than 3 billion, with the total value surpassing 7 billion dinars.

The report noted that the ISX60 market trading index opened on the first trading session at 1014.70 points but closed the week at 992.43 points, marking a decline of 2.24% from its opening session. In contrast, the ISX15 market index began the week at 1105.28 points and concluded at 1092.39 points, reflecting a decrease of 1.18%.

Furthermore, there were 3,473 sales and purchase transactions executed on shares of listed companies within the exchange throughout the week.
