Iraq: 37th Globally in 2025 Pollution Index Rankings

According to the latest pollution index for 2025, Iraq is positioned 37th globally and ranks sixth among Arab nations, as reported by a site focusing on quality of life and individual well-being.

The findings indicate that Iraq received a score of 71.5 out of 100, placing it 37th among 113 countries in the pollution index, and sixth within the Arab region.

On a global scale, Cameroon leads as the most polluted nation with a score of 93.7, followed by Myanmar with 89.8 points, Lebanon at 89.4 points, Nigeria at 87.9 points, and Mongolia rounding out the top five with a score of 87.4 points. Conversely, Finland and Iceland are recognized as the least polluted countries, with scores of 11.8 and 16 points respectively.

Within the Arab region, Lebanon ranks highest in pollution with a score of 89.4, followed by Egypt at 82.7 points, Jordan with 77.1 points, Syria at 74.9 points, and Bahrain at 71.6 points, which places them ahead of Iraq.
