Iran Exports 294K Tons of Agriculture to Iraq in 10 Months

Export Milestone for Ilam Governorate Products to Iraq

The Ilam Governorate in Iran announced a significant achievement on Tuesday, reporting the export of 294,472 tons of various agricultural products to Iraq through the Mahran International border crossing.

According to Sahrab Kamri, the General Manager of the Market Governorate, “The total value of these exports reached $123,034,497." He highlighted that the key products exported included watermelon, apples, cucumbers, tomatoes, and oranges.

Kamri further noted that the cumulative exports from the Mahran border to Iraq and other countries for the current year up to the end of October have amounted to $1.462 billion, with total shipments weighing 2.448 million tons.

On average, approximately 400 trucks cross the Mahran border daily, transporting commercial and export goods after completing the necessary customs procedures.

Mahran International border stands out as a crucial commercial passage between Iran and Iraq, playing a vital role in facilitating trade between the two nations.
