Gold Prices Surge in Baghdad Markets as Iraqi and Foreign Gold Hit Historic Highs

Gold prices for both foreign and Iraqi varieties experienced an increase in the local markets of Baghdad on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

This morning, wholesale market rates in Baghdad recorded the selling price for a one-carat weight of 21-carat gold from the Gulf, Turkey, and Europe at 595,000 dinars, with a buying price of 591,000 dinars.

In comparison, the selling price for one weight of 21-carat Iraqi gold was noted at 565,000 dinars, with the purchasing price set at 561,000 dinars.

In goldsmiths’ stores, the selling price for 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 595,000 and 605,000 dinars, while the sale price for Iraqi gold fluctuated between 565,000 and 575,000 dinars.
