Gold prices for both foreign and Iraqi varieties have experienced a downturn in the local markets of Baghdad. Conversely, the rates in the Kurdistan Region’s capital, Erbil, have remained unchanged.
As reported from the wholesale markets in Baghdad this morning, the price for a 21-carat piece of Gulf, Turkish, or European gold stands at 592,000 Iraqi dinars for sales, while the purchase price is recorded at 588,000 dinars. Meanwhile, the selling price for a weight of 21-carat Iraqi gold has been pegged at 562,000 dinars, with the purchase price at 558,000 dinars.
In retail goldsmith stores, selling prices vary, with 21-carat Gulf gold ranging from 590,000 to 600,000 dinars, while 21-carat Iraqi gold is priced between 560,000 and 570,000 dinars.
Stability of Gold Prices in Erbil
In Erbil, gold prices have remained stable across various carats. The selling prices are as follows: 24-carat gold is priced at 672,000 dinars, 22-carat gold at 616,000 dinars, 21-carat gold at 588,000 dinars, and 18-carat gold at 504,000 dinars.
