The prices of both foreign and Iraqi gold have experienced a decline in the local markets, specifically in Baghdad and Erbil, as of January 28, 2025.

In the wholesale markets of Baghdad, the price of 21-carat gold from Gulf, Turkish, and European sources is noted at 581,000 Iraqi dinars for sale, while the buying price stands at 577,000 dinars.

For Iraqi gold, the selling price for 21-carat is recorded at 551,000 dinars, with a purchasing price of 547,000 dinars.

In retail markets, the price range for 21-carat Gulf gold fluctuates between 580,000 to 590,000 dinars, while the selling price for Iraqi gold is positioned between 550,000 and 560,000 dinars.

Erbil’s gold prices have remained stable, with 24-carat gold priced at 660,000 dinars, 22-carat at 605,000 dinars, 21-carat at 578,000 dinars, and 18-carat at 495,000 dinars.
