Gold Prices Decline in Baghdad; Stability Observed in Erbil
On Tuesday, gold prices experienced a decrease in the markets of Baghdad, while remaining stable in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
In Baghdad’s markets, the sale price for 21-carat gold from Gulf, Turkish, and European sources was recorded at 600,000 Iraqi dinars, with a purchase price of 596,000 dinars. Furthermore, the price for 21-carat Iraqi gold was noted at 570,000 dinars for sale and 566,000 dinars for purchase.
In terms of retail prices at jewelry stores, the sale price for 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 600,000 and 610,000 dinars, while the sale price for Iraqi gold varied from 570,000 to 580,000 dinars.
Gold Prices in Erbil
Contrarily, in Erbil, gold prices demonstrated consistency across various carats. The selling prices included:
- 24-carat gold: 700,000 dinars
- 22-carat gold: 642,000 dinars
- 21-carat gold: 613,000 dinars
- 18-carat gold: 525,000 dinars
Overall, while Baghdad sees fluctuations in gold prices, Erbil maintains a stable pricing structure amid market changes.
